California girl Whitney Port may have become famous starring on MTV reality shows The Hills and The City, but now she’s making a name for herself in the fashion world.

Port recently joined forces with eBay to be a member of its LookBook style panel, to promote the selection of new, vintage, designer and brand name clothing, shoes and accessories available on eBay’s new LookBook marketplace.

EcoStiletto.com’s Rachel Lincoln Sarnoff had an exclusive interview with Port, while she was helping people accessorize and learn about fall fashion trends in Los Angeles as part of a LookBook photo shoot.

Port, who designs for her own Whitney Eve line, says she is an environmentalist who loves green beauty products, organic apparel and vintage clothing and accessories.

“I love vintage,” Port told EcoStiletto.com. “You know when you walk out the door that it’s not going to be seen on anybody else. You save money because you’re getting something that’s designer, that’s definitely more affordable than what you can get in the stores.”

Her own fashion line, however, does not currently contain any pieces made with sustainable fabrics.

“I’m so new. Right now I’m just trying to get the hang of the whole process. But eventually I really want to find out how that whole technique works,” she told the website.
