Star of the MTV show The City and fashion designer Whitney Port co-hosted a dinner with the American Cancer Society (ACS) for her friends and family in an effort to “help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays,” according to a press release.

They gathered at a cozy French Mediterranean restaurant in West Hollywood yesterday called The Little Door. The intimate group including Ben Nemtin from MTV’s The Buried Life, Port’s father, who is a 10-year prostate cancer survivor and ACS board member, Gary Pia, shared personal stories about how cancer affected their lives.
