» Whitney Reveals Shocking Diet Secrets

Whitney Port has revealed her shocking diet secrets – saying she once survived on just 1,000 calories a day.
The punishing regime saw the slender The Hills star eat just half the recommended calorie intake for women. And in an admission sure to shock many, she claimed she had NEVER eaten pasta.
Whitney admitted that she knew her diet ‘wasn’t healthy’ but had succumbed to the pressure of life in the public eye.

The 25-year-old, who now stars in her own spin-off show The City, added: ‘Working in Hollywood, there’s just a constant pressure to look your best.

‘For all of us who are on TV, it’s natural to be like, “I have to stare at myself all the time, I want to look the best I can.”‘

In the interview with the Australian edition of OK! magazine she admitted that her health had suffered.

‘It’s hard to have that balance of wanting to look good but stay healthy,’ she said. ‘It’s push/pull.

‘I’ve monitored what I’ve put in my mouth. Eating 1,000 calories a day is as bad as its ever gotten, which isn’t healthy’

Even now the 5ft10in star is said to weigh just 8 stone.
Arriving at the Bowl for a Better LA at Lucky Strikes in the Los Angeles last night, she showed off her slender frame in tight-fitting jeans and a blazer.
Whitney is now forging a career as a budding fashion designer, with her own line, Whitney Eve.
She moved to New York to pursue her career, but returns frequently to her California home.

‘I really love LA. My family is here, and I just love the vibe,” she said recently.

But one thing keeping her based in New York is her boyfriend of seven months – Ben Nemtin.

‘He’s so great. We’re just really happy and lucky to have found each other,’ she told In Touch. ‘I don’t know if he’s The One, but I’ve never been happier!’

» Whitney Sharing Her Closet With I-ELLA

On Monday, September 27th, reality television star and fashion designer, Whitney Port will auction off a few of her personal pieces on I-ELLA.com, a new invitation-only online marketplace that allows its members to buy, sell, borrow, and swap top fashion brands. Each week the site partners with celebrities for an exclusive charity auction to benefit their organization of choice. Since the site’s launch on September 13th, legendary stylist and editor Mary Alice Stephenson and supermodel Veronica Webb have held auctions featuring coveted pieces from Lanvin, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and more to benefit Free Arts and Harlem United.

Proceeds from Port’s auction will benefit FACE Africa, an organization working to rebuild communities affected by years of civil war in Liberia. Next month, The City star is scheduled to travel to Liberia as part of a humanitarian mission with FACE Africa. The trip is being sponsored by Symphony Style, the Dubai Mall’s first and only luxury concept boutique which carries brands like Ports 1961, Vera Wang, Thakoon, Halston, and beginning this fall, Port’s Whitney Eve line. Port will attend the store’s official grand opening in Dubai on October 7th before heading to Liberia.

Whitney Port Closet Sharing FACE Africa Auction

Under Symphony’s sponsorship, Port will spend four days in Liberia visiting and learning about FACE Africa’s current projects on the ground. More importantly, she will be visiting and supporting a women’s factory in Monrovia called the Liberian Women’s Sewing Project, an organization that provides employment and economic opportunities for women. The pilot factory currently produces t-shirts and other cotton knit apparel using fair-trade and eco-friendly practices. Port plans to work with the Liberian Women Sewing Project to design handmade t-shirts that will be produced entirely in Liberia, directly helping to create employment opportunities and boost local economies. The t-shirts will be marketed and sold on I-ELLA.com and other outlets with proceeds going to fund clean water, health, and social programs that benefit young girls and women in Liberia.

Port is no stranger to giving back. In 2008, she partnered up with The Urban Village, a knitting cooperative in Rwanda that helps its citizens build better lives, to release a line of mohair and silk scarves under her fashion label Whitney Eve. The project allowed the women to not only have careers, but helped in creating a sustainable economy in their villages as well.

Joining Port will also be her father, Jeff Port and her younger sister Paige. The trip will be featured on an upcoming television program set to be released early 2011.

» Whitney To Act In Web Series

We still don’t know if MTV will order another season of The City, but star Whitney Port is staying busy as she awaits the network’s verdict. Vulture hears Port has been cast in Hollywood Is Like High School With Money, a new scripted, web-only series from Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars producer Alloy Entertainment. Port will appear in at least one episode of the show, but perhaps more
importantly for the budding mogul, clothes from her Whitney Eve line will be featured throughout the series. Port’s fashion pimping is not the only bit of cross-promotion going on in Hollywood: Ian Harding of Alloy’s ABC Family hit Liars and Brian Hallisay of the studio’s short-lived CW drama Privileged have also been cast in the web series. Hollywood, based on the Zoey Dean novel of the same name, debuts on AlloyTV.com September 14.

» Whitney Port: I’d never have surgery like Heidi Montag

Whitney Port hasn’t seen much of her co-stars in The Hills since she headed to New York to launch her fashion line Whitney Eve.

‘I’ve kept in touch a little bit with Lauren Conrad,’ says the actress, 25. ‘I was recently back in LA at a concert and saw the whole crew. There are no hard feelings – I’m the kind of person who takes people for who they are.

‘I don’t like confrontation. Unlike a lot of them, I don’t go out looking for drama.’

Whitney also doesn’t understand Heidi Montag’s osbsession with going under the knife.

‘If you really feel like you want ?a little nip and tuck, that’s your prerogative but that’s not something I’d ever want to ?get into – especially to the level Heidi did,’ she explains.

‘I think at our age it’s a little bit much.’

» Exclusive Interview With Whitney!

Whitney was so kind to answer our questions for an exclusive interview! Here it is! Enjoy!

W-D.com: Let’s start with The City. How do you feel about sharing a part of your life with the camera’s?
It is always a mix of positive and negative for me. While I love being able to share my life and my passion (designing clothes) with everyone, it is also sometimes a little daunting to force myself to be that vulnarable. It is a sense of privacy that I have to give up but the sacrifice is very worth it.

W-D.com: Have you ever thought appearing on reality shows was a wrong decision?
Never! I have been so lucky with all of the opportunities I have been handed because of it.

W-D.com: After seeing the final episode of season 2, everybody was a bit shocked about what happened between you and Kelly. How is your relationship with Kelly at the moment?
My relationship with Kelly is totally fine. We totally understand the situation and she continues to be a mentor and consultant on my line and my life!

W-D.com: If there is coming a third season of The City, what do you think we will get to see?
You will continue to see the evolution of my line! The spring collection! All else is so up in the air!

W-D.com: Did you expected to become this famous after showing up on reality shows?
I never expected the famous aspect to be as big as it is! It is so surreal to think that I started as a measly intern at Teen Vogue and now have my own line which is featured on a tv show worldwide, so bizarre and sometimes I feel I am not worthy of all of it.

W-D.com: What’s the biggest thing a fan ever did to you?
Make this fan site! I am so honored and flattered!

W-D.com: Has the relationship between you and your family changed when you started filming The Hills and The City?
It has not changed a bit… My family are my backbone, my main support system. If they feel as if I am stepping out of line they make sure to bring me right back into “reality”.

W-D.com: Has your family always supported your choice to become a reality tv star and fashion designer?
They are extremely supportive! We are the best team around!

W-D.com: Where do you find your inspiration for the collections of Whitney Eve?
I get inspiration from almost anything every minute of the day. Whether I am looking a magazine, taking pictures of random people on the streets, recognizing colors in flowers and watching how waves crash, I am inspired by so much!

W-D.ocm: What can we expect in the upcoming collections of Whitney Eve?
A good mix of Los Angeles and New York feminity and sophistication. Fun patterns, soft fabrics and interesting textures.

We would like to thank Whitney so much for taking time to answer the questions
