Whitney Port has revealed the best place for discovering vintage jewellery.
The 26-year-old reality TV star shot to fame on The Hills and spin-off show The City, and is also a successful fashion designer.
The gorgeous star often frequents the front row of exclusive fashion shows, although she also enjoys hunting down unique vintage pieces and has revealed her favourite place to search out second-hand jewels. Whitney is a big fan of What Goes Around Comes Around in New York, although she admits some of the pieces can be pricey.
“It costs a pretty penny, but this store is home to some of the best vintage finds in town. It has a bohemian-funky vibe and the selection of clothes is always impeccable,” she said.
“My favourite part of the store? The Chanel jewellery—displayed impressively in a huge glass case. The assortment makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop!”
Whitney is also a fan of New York store Wink and says it’s her favourite place to hunt out daywear. Despite often looking glamorous on the red carpet, Whitney loves nothing more than relaxing in a pair of denims.
“Girls, if you’re looking for your head-to-toe weekend look, this is the place to go! Home to all things trendy – James jeans, Parker day dresses, airy Madison Marcus tops, Rebecca Minkoff bags, to name a few – this boutique is always a hit in my book,” wrote Whitney on website Paper and String.

Whitney Port feels “instantly sexy” in stilettos.
The 26-year-old reality TV star – who is in a relationship with ‘The Buried Life’ star Ben Nemtin – slips on her favorite high-heeled shoes whenever she needs a confidence boost, though she takes measures to ensure she doesn’t hurt her feet.
She said: “Slipping on a pair of stilettos instantly makes me feel sexy, skinny and tall.
“I always try and break them in by walking around in them at home and I’ll scuff the soles so I don’t slip. Buy gel insoles too – they saved the day at my sister’s wedding.”
The former ‘City’ star is a big fan of accessorizing and always tries to seek out statement pieces that complement several outfits.
She explained: “I love gold or silver hoop earrings, but the goal is to find one ‘wow’ piece that will work with a multitude of different outfits.
“I often wrap a gold or silver necklace around my wrist as a boho bracelet.”

Whitney Port doesn’t worry about current fashions when choosing her outfits and doesn’t care if people dislike her personal style.

The reality TV star isn’t afraid to experiment with her look and thinks that so long as what she wears is flattering, it shouldn’t matter if it isn’t fashionable.
She said: “I feel like I’m open to all kinds of silhouettes. As long as it’s flattering on the body it doesn’t matter if it’s really out there. I can be a risk taker when it comes to fashion and I don’t really care if people accept my style.”
As well as experimenting with her clothes, Whitney enjoys regularly changing her hair because she gets bored easily.
She said: “I’m trying to be very experimental with my hair. I’m over my colour really quickly so I change it every two weeks.
“Recently I got it really blonde but then I thought, ‘I feel so LA’, so now I’ve gone for a strawberry blonde shade instead.”

With Coachella (and music festival season) right around the corner, Whitney Port writes on her official Celebuzz blog about how to achieve that perfect desert festival look:
For first time Coachella goers, packing can be a painful and confusing experience. You’re told hundreds of different things from hundreds of different people and you end up with a bag overflowing with a little bit of everything. Well I’m going to make things easy for you — KEEP IT SIMPLE! See below for my list of What To Wear Essentials.
1. Comfortable shoes — go with Converse or flats. Boots can be cute but you’ll end up with pretty embarrassing tan lines and they can often get a bit hot.
2. Flowy loose dresses — these won’t take up much room in your luggage and they’re easy to move around in. Plus they’re good in the heat.
3. Shorts — I would say bring one or two pairs of shorts (unless you are my sister Paige, who will end up bringing 10 pairs of jean shorts)
4. Tanks and tees — Maybe just your favorite of each. Remember, you’ll only be there for three days and chances are you’ll wear your day outfits into the evening.

» Whitney To Judge Charity Design Competition
Fashion designer and TV personality, Whitney Port, has partnered with Buzznet.com, the web’s largest social magazine written for youth by youth, and To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), a non-profit movement dedicated to helping people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide, to launch a 2011 Vans Warped Tour t-shirt design contest.
One talented winner will be handpicked by Whitney Port and TWLOHA and have their graphic printed on t-shirts that will be sold at the TWLOHA merch booth throughout The 2011 Vans Warped Tour. All proceeds from the sale of the winning shirt will be given as a charitable donation to TWLOHA and will help support their ongoing movement of presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
As part of their challenge and in support of TWLOHA’s mission, challenge participants will need to incorporate the theme of hope, stories, and the beauty that happens when the two come together in their submissions. Whitney Port and To Write Love on Her Arms will be evaluating every design and will carefully select the winning graphic based on its aesthetic appeal and embodiment of the challenge theme. All submissions must be entered on Buzznet by 5/31.

» Get The Look: Whitney’s French Braids/Half Updo
The City may be canceled (sniff-sniff), but that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop checking for hair inspiration via Whitney Port. Here’s one breezy ‘do we spotted on Whitney a few days ago. We asked Marc Mena, Garnier celebrity stylist who has also worked on Whitney’s amigo from The Hills Audrina Patridge, to give us tips on getting the look.

Get the look:
STEP 1: Blow-dry your hair, using a a large paddle brush and serum like John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum ($8.99, drugstore.com) to smooth. Section your hair into three parts (two in the front with a center part, and one large section.)
STEP 2: French braid the front two sections of your head securing the ends with a small clear hair band. “Keep the hair pulled tightly to get the sleek look,” says Mena. Use a wax like Garnier Fructis Style Fiber Gum Putty ($4.29, drugstore.com) to prevent flyways.
STEP 3: Bring together the two front braided sections with a third clear hair band. (The third hair band should rest on the part that divides the back section from the front two.) Let the back section hang for a look that’s chic as well as functional — no annoying strands flying in your face!

» Whitney Is A Fan Of Eco-Friendly Apparel
California girl Whitney Port may have become famous starring on MTV reality shows The Hills and The City, but now she’s making a name for herself in the fashion world.
Port recently joined forces with eBay to be a member of its LookBook style panel, to promote the selection of new, vintage, designer and brand name clothing, shoes and accessories available on eBay’s new LookBook marketplace.
EcoStiletto.com’s Rachel Lincoln Sarnoff had an exclusive interview with Port, while she was helping people accessorize and learn about fall fashion trends in Los Angeles as part of a LookBook photo shoot.
Port, who designs for her own Whitney Eve line, says she is an environmentalist who loves green beauty products, organic apparel and vintage clothing and accessories.
“I love vintage,” Port told EcoStiletto.com. “You know when you walk out the door that it’s not going to be seen on anybody else. You save money because you’re getting something that’s designer, that’s definitely more affordable than what you can get in the stores.”
Her own fashion line, however, does not currently contain any pieces made with sustainable fabrics.
“I’m so new. Right now I’m just trying to get the hang of the whole process. But eventually I really want to find out how that whole technique works,” she told the website.
